About me

I’m a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Sheffield, where I study resource efficiency and environmental impacts related to petrochemical consumption, material production, and energy infrastructure.

During my PhD at the University of Cambridge, supervised by Prof. Julian Allwood in the Department of Engineering, I developed a computational model to quantify the aggregated energy demands of Net-Zero proposals. The model estimates the overall demands of carbon storage, non-emitting electricity and biomass which can be compared against feasible availability of those resources. The main output of this work was our publication, ‘Aggregating Demand for Three Fundamental Resources to Avoid Burden-Shifting in Climate Policy’ (2026).

Before moving to research, I worked as a chartered mechanical engineer at Rolls-Royce across the aviation, marine and nuclear businesses. I also spent a year working with Engineers-Without-Borders, EWB, in Malaysian Borneo. I hold an MEng and BA in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
